Hi, I’m L. I am an agender autistic hobby sewist who like dogs more than people.

I typically work as a software engineer, although I’m taking a little time off. I also knit, cross stitch, draw, write, and crochet, but I’ll try any craft at least once. I’ve been known to dabble in some light home renovation projects, but nothing that’ll damage my manicure. I use a lot of commas when I write and I smoke a shitload of weed.

You may know me from my knitting pattern designer days as feministy - my most popular pattern Traveling Woman is available for free, as are all of my designs. Yay! You can snag them on Ravelry, or check them out my favorites and most popular patterns here.

I live in the PNW with my dog, my partner, and our two sons. I use she/they pronouns.

I care a lot about

Dogs

They’re better than people.

Sustainability

Cultivating a long-lasting handmade wardrobe, using ethically and sustainably sourced materials where possible. I make a lot of reusable home goods.

Personal politics

Gender is fake. Defunding the police and funding education are the bare minimum. Ripping the tenets of white supremacy from our society, my life, and my community are an ongoing project. Our legal system does not provide justice. I support open borders, reparations, the Land Back movement, and prison abolition. I believe that healthcare is a basic human right and gender-affirming healthcare for trans youth and adults should be accessible to all. Black Lives Matter, all forms of protest are valid, no human being is illegal, and you should definitely read Minor Feelings by Cathy Park Hong.

I am an anti-capitalist who craves a system with more care and compassion built into it.

I also care about

  • autism, ADHD, and neurotypes

  • legalizing weed and releasing those in prison for drug related crimes (with the goal of prison abolition)

  • socialism

  • the ethical problem of billionaires

  • inclusivity
