Reversible Axis tank tutorial
Saguaro set
Tie dye Axis dress
Hallon dress
I was sewing up a cute summer dress for a wedding, but ended up needing to make a ton of adjustments last minute that I was too tired to do. Fortunately, I had a backup plan: cut, sew, and finish a Hallon dress in one evening.
Red Axis dress
Red is so vibrant, the perfect color for summer.
Summer shorts set
I’ve been increasingly drawn to working with knit fabrics and, after seeing an ad for something similar, I decided it was time to make a summer shorts lounge set.
Ogden cami dress
In which I revisit my past life as an indie yarn dyer. And there’s a dress!
Wide leg Arenite pants
Sometimes my greatest makes come to me in a fever dream (aka buying fabric in person), and this set is no exception. These pants, a hacked Arenite pant, are perfect for traveling and warm summer days!
Arenite shorts
When it is 115 degrees outside you kinda sorta need shorts… so I made some! I used the Arenite pants pattern as a base and did a few hacks to make it work.
Axis tank dress
Hack your Axis tank into a dress! It’s so comfy and cozy and you’ll wish you’d done it sooner.
Naomi dress
I’m going through a knits phase again - it always happens right when the weather starts to turn nice… and nothing says nice like a backless maxi dress 😎
Axis tank finishes
I‘ve made so many Axis tanks that I can’t help but have hacked the pattern, at least a little bit. My favorite experiment for awhile was to use different types of bindings - so, so many bindings 😂
Rose Avery leggings
I attempt to make yet another pair of Avery leggings - this time with so many adjustments that I am starting to wonder why I didn’t just draft my own pattern…
Jordy bra
In general, I really hate bras. Ever since I started making my own in August 2019, I completely stopped wearing RTW ones and I have zero interest in making bras with underwires. I decided to try a new pattern, the Jordy bra from Emerald Erin!
Axis Tanks
Last year I went hard for the Axis tank. I think I made about 10 over the course of a very short amount of time. I mostly stuck with the crew neck view, but opted for a few of the scoop neck view, too. After a change in measurements and some serious over-use of my old, tattered pattern pieces, it was time to cut new ones!
Rainbow Ogden Dress
This dress is not my fault—it’s instagram’s fault. Last summer I made a tiered Ogden cami dress after seeing approximately 4 million of them on sewing Instagram, and this year I took it one step further and made a scrappy rainbow dress, inspired by a fellow sewist.
Pink Avery Leggings
I put pockets in every bottom garment I make - except for leggings. To me, leggings with pockets are leggings that won’t function properly. What makes leggings function for me beyond fit is one thing: fabric.
Yanta overalls
I am not really an overalls person, but it turns that I am definitely a work overalls person. What better project to break in my new sewing room in with than workwear?
